Mentoring youth for Employment

We believe in the potential and success of youth & young adults living in Jordan!

Tareeqak Akafak is a part-time 6-month mentoring/ life coaching program for youth & young adults living in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Created by Jordanian to empower youth and young adults to unveil and fulfill their own potential. Our deep believe is that everyone has the potential to flourish. We use powerful tools as Mentoring, Life Coaching and Outdoor-Adventure Education.

“This was one of the best experiences I had in my life, it was really enlightening to me.”

6-month – 11 modules – 13 Days – 105 hours of learning

The 6-month program consists of 11 modules. Each single module is building up on each other.
The aim is that participants obtain employment in all sectors, increase their employability, and that participants improve employment and entrepreneurship through mentoring. The program equips participants with transferable, soft and life skills that are in demand on the job market.
The learning curve is steadily increasing and evolves due to the involvement of each single participant. Further we encourage group learning. By that, we give participants the opportunity to build up a supportive environment from the start on.

We provide Relevant Skills for the Job market and Life.

A critical factor of success in the private sector are transferable skills – soft skills. These skills allow youth to become agile, adaptive learners and citizens equipped to navigate personal, academic, social and economic challenges.
The chance of employment for young adults in Jordan is increasing with further development of skills, including both hard (cognitive) skills and soft (non-cognitive) skills. There is a need for young Jordanians to “skill up”, especially in terms of “soft” skills.
UNICEF emphasizes that transferable skills are the foundation, the central ‘magic glue’ in developing other skills like numeric, digital skills and job-specific skills.

Increase your employability.

The employability of a person is based on specific skills (hard skills, knowledge, experiences) but soft skills support it and they often make the difference. In today’s workplace the need for soft skills is widely considered as vital.
Soft skills contribute to work performance in combination with technical or hard skills and knowledge, basic skills (language, literacy and numeracy) and personal values. Soft skills make the differences between jobseekers. Employers emphasis on the candidates’ personal qualities and attitudes (soft skills). Individuals should invest in their soft skill development in order to improve their employability level.

Become a partner

The program is created from Jordanian for people living in Jordan. Part of the target group of the program is facing financial stress and would not be able to enroll for the program. Therefore, we depend on Jordanian that help us to empower the youth of Jordan through donations. We are thankful for any assistance. In our point of few donations are a sign of respect and of support towards the community that we are living in.
